Accessibility
Our commitment to access.
Navoura is built for people navigating moments that matter — and that includes people who use the web with screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnifiers, voice control, or other assistive technology. We want this site, and the Navoura iOS app, to be usable by everyone.
Standards we target
We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. This site is reviewed against those guidelines and updated as we find gaps.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML throughout, with one
<h1>per page and a logical heading order. - Visible keyboard focus indicators on every interactive element.
- Skip-to-content link on every page for keyboard users.
- Color contrast targets WCAG AA (4.5:1 normal text, 3:1 large text).
- Decorative images and SVGs are hidden from assistive tech; meaningful images carry text alternatives.
- Forms have associated labels and accessible error messages.
- Motion is reduced for visitors who prefer it (
prefers-reduced-motion), including SVG animations. - The Try Translator demo announces its results to screen readers via ARIA live regions.
- The site is usable at 200% zoom without horizontal scrolling on standard viewports.
- Pinch-zoom is not disabled — users can zoom the page as needed.
Known limitations
We are a small team and we ship in public. If you find an
accessibility issue, it is a real bug and we want to know. Some
decorative SVG illustrations on detail pages may include subtle
motion; visitors with prefers-reduced-motion enabled
should see them as static.
